Widely known for his honourable commitment to seasonal, ethically produced food, Hugh gained a huge following through his TV series and books and has gone on to establish the award-winning River Cottage. Your meal will take at place at the famous farm in Devon you may remember from the TV series. On arrival, you'll be treated to a tractor-trailer ride from the car park through the fields to the barn at the bottom of the valley, where you'll be welcomed with an aperitif and delicious canap's. Once seated at the communal dining tables, the chef will talk through your menu before you are presented with the four-course masterpiece and a bottle of wine to share and finally, your evening will be rounded off with coffee and petits fours. Need to Know
On your Saturday night at the River Cottage, you will be met in the car park by members of the team and transported to the farm with a short tractor-trailer ride. Once you have arrived at the farm you will be offered a seasonal welcome drink and canap's. There will be plenty of time before you sit down to eat to have a look around the farmhouse and the gardens and soak up the atmosphere. Once seated the Chef's introduction is up next; they will talk through the menu and its provenance and discuss the tasty dishes that you have to look forward to. A short while later, there will be more canap's at the table and a bottle of wine to share, followed by your four-course meal. Only the very best local and seasonal ingredients are used by the talented chefs so you are sure to have a meal worthy of the River Cottage venue. Once your meal has come to an end you will be served petits fours and coffee and the tractor will be available to take you back to the car park when you are ready to head home.
