Get to know amazing Oriental cuisine when you join a one day cookery class at the School of Wok in Covent Garden. Designed by TV chef Jeremy Pang, these classes are perfect for anyone keen to discover the secrets of great-tasting Asian food. In the Taste of Thailand you will learn the importance of balancing hot, sour, sweet, salty and savoury flavours, and how to make your own curry paste from scratch. Go on the Vietnamese Journey and you'll create fresh savoury broths full of healthy ingredients and authentic spices. Or take the Introduction to Dim Sum and make delicious dumplings and savoury pastries that melt in the mouth with a carnival of flavours. All the classes are taught in small friendly groups by expert chefs, giving you the chance to get to know some incredible ingredients and learn skills you can use in your kitchen at home. As part of the experience you'll be served with a welcome drink on arrival, a light lunch and of course at the end of the cooking there will be the chance to enjoy the meal you've created, along with a glass of wine. Need to Know
On arrival for your pre-booked Full Day Cookery Class you will be served with a welcome drink and introduced to your host chef. In a small group of no more than 8 participants you will enjoy plenty of opportunity to get hands-on with authentic ingredients as you learn the secrets of great Oriental cooking. Your knowledgeable teacher will demonstrate a range of useful preparation techniques and tricks of the trade ' all of which you will be able to master during the class and put into practice back home in your own kitchen. You will enjoy some of the dishes made during the class as a light lunch. At the end of the experience you will also have the opportunity to tuck into the tasty meal you have worked so hard to prepare, served with a glass of wine.
