Go back in time to an age when steam ruled the rails with this fantastic Steam Train Afternoon Tea for Two featuring the UK's only double track mainline heritage railway. You'll board the train at one of four stations - each one dressed to reflect a different decade from the twentieth century - and embark on a scenic journey through lovely countryside. Alight to explore trackside museums and beautifully restored railway buildings or stay on board to admire the view as the world drifts by outside the window. The round trip takes about 1 hour 30 minutes but you will enjoy unlimited travel throughout the day so feel free to take your time and hop on and off as often as you like. Your pre-booked Afternoon Tea will be served at either The Butler Henderson Caf' at Quorn, The Platform Caf' at Leicester North station or the Ellis Tea Room at Rothley, depending on your reservation. Relax in comfortable and authentically styled surroundings as the friendly staff serve you with a vintage-inspired tea complete with sandwiches offering a choice of fillings, scones served with clotted cream and jam, and home-made cakes. Enjoy a pot of tea and the chance to channel your Brief Encounter fantasies, before catching the next train up or back down the line.
