A stone's throw from the North Yorkshire Moors you will find the Malton Cookery School. Your Yorkshire Game Cookery class will last a full day and you will learn how to quickly and easily deal with a fresh partridge or rabbit without the mess. Some of the recipes you could make include roast loin of wild boar with celeriac and turnip gratin and game jus, and a terrine of different game; you'll also learn valuable skills such as plucking, jointing and butchery. You will learn to cook a mix of traditional and modern recipes and take home plenty of skills you can use in your own kitchen. Need to Know
When you arrive at the Malton Cookery School you will meet your tutor and fellow chefs. Your class will start at 10.00 with some informal but knowledgeable teaching. You will be shown a demonstration for each dish you will be preparing so you can create perfect plates of Yorkshire game. Learn how to prepare and cook grouse, pigeon, partridge and more with this relaxing cookery day. At the end you will be able to enjoy what you have cooked with a glass of wine, specially chosen by the sommelier form the James Martin restaurant.
